Business Mobile Desk · Independent UK business mobile guidance
Last updated: 23 September 2026
1. Who this notice covers
This notice describes personal information handled through the Business Mobile Desk website and enquiries sent to sales@o2businessguide.com. Business Mobile Desk is an independent enquiry service, not O2. O2 does not receive information merely because you use this website.
For privacy questions or requests, contact sales@o2businessguide.com. This notice covers the website’s current email-enquiry functionality. A separate provider application may require additional information and its own privacy notice.
2. Information you provide
If you send an enquiry, it may include your name, business name, business email address, chosen enquiry type, message and any contact details you voluntarily include. Correspondence may also contain information about your business mobile requirements and the assistance requested.
The website does not request identity documents, passwords, one-time codes, payment card information or sensitive personal information. Please do not include these in an enquiry. Business contact details can still be personal information.
3. How the enquiry form works
Typing into the form does not send those details to our inbox or a website database. Choosing “Prepare my enquiry email” passes your entered details into a draft through your device’s email application. You decide whether to send it. Your email provider processes the draft and message under its own privacy arrangements.
Once you send an email, the recipient mailbox and relevant email services process the message so we can respond. Contacting us by telephone can also involve communication and connection information processed by telecommunications providers.
4. Purposes and legal grounds
Enquiry information is used to understand your request, reply, organise requested assistance and keep relevant correspondence. For enquiries made on behalf of a business, the relevant basis is legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries and managing business relationships, balanced against individuals’ rights. Where you personally request steps towards a contract, such as as a sole trader, those necessary steps may instead be the basis. Records needed to meet a specific legal obligation are handled on that basis.
Sending an enquiry does not sign you up to a marketing mailing list. If separate consent is requested for an optional purpose, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful use.
5. Sharing information
Email, hosting and telecommunications services process information needed to deliver their functions. Website hosting can involve technical data such as IP address, browser information, requested pages and connection timestamps for delivery and security.
If progressing your enquiry requires sending personal information to a network, supplier or another independent organisation, the intended recipient and purpose should be explained before you proceed. Do not assume that an enquiry has been forwarded to O2. A provider’s use of an application is governed by its own privacy notice. Information may also need to be disclosed where required by law.
6. Keeping information
Enquiry correspondence should be kept only while needed to respond, follow up on the requested service and deal with related questions, disputes or applicable legal obligations. The appropriate period depends on whether an enquiry leads to a service, whether it remains active and whether records are legally required. Unnecessary records should be deleted or anonymised. Contact us to ask about the retention period applicable to your enquiry.
7. International processing and security
The location of processing can depend on the email and hosting services used. Contact us for the countries and safeguards relevant to your enquiry before sending information if this is important to you. Where restricted international transfers take place, applicable data protection requirements must be met.
No internet or email transmission is completely secure. Share only information needed for the enquiry and use your provider’s official secure channels for account credentials, payments and identity verification.
8. Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access your information, correct inaccurate information, request erasure or restriction, and receive certain information in a portable format. These rights have conditions and exceptions. Contact sales@o2businessguide.com to make a request; proportionate identity verification may be needed.
If processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office through ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/. You do not have to contact us first.
9. Cookies, analytics and automated decisions
The supplied website code does not set cookies, use local storage, install advertising pixels or load analytics scripts. Hosting or access-control services may use necessary technologies outside the page code. This website does not make automated credit or eligibility decisions. Any such decision by a provider is separate and should be explained by that provider.
10. Updates and contact
This notice must be updated if the enquiry process, tracking technologies or information handling changes. The date above identifies the current version. For questions, email sales@o2businessguide.com. See also our Terms & Conditions.
